Recipe: Old-fashioned Sun King Fried Potatoes

 
 

This recipe is also known as “Breakfast Potatoes”. It could serve as a great addition to your eggs and bacon in the morning! It’s also a wonderful, tasty and fulfilling side dish for your steak, pork chops or whatever protein you are enjoying.

 


Ingredients:

- Troyer Brothers Potatoes 

- 1 medium Onion

- 1 medium Green pepper

- 3 tb spoons of Oil

- 3 tb spoons of Butter

- Salt and pepper 

- Water as needed

Prior to cooking, boil potatoes. Tip: You could do it ahead of time and store boiled potatoes in a fridge. 

STEP 1

Slice potatoes thin. Tip: Cold boiled potatoes are much easier to slice. Chop onions and peppers.

STEP 2

Melt 2 table spoons of oil and 1 table spoon of butter in a pan.

STEP 3

Add onions, peppers and fry until onions are translucent.

STEP 4

Add water (1/4 cup) and more oil and butter.

STEP 5

Add potatoes.

STEP 6

Fry until crispy. Tip: Adding butter as you fry gets more crisp.

Add salt and pepper. Enjoy!
