Recipe: Classic Sun King Mashed Potatoes
This a simple classic recipe for deliciously smooth and buttery mashed potatoes. A perfect side dish for steaks, meatloaf or just on its own!
- Troyer Brothers potatoes (4-6 medium potatoes)
- Butter (2-3 table spoons)
- Salt and pepper
Peel and slice potatoes. Rinse potatoes in water to remove starch and place in cold water in a non-coated pot.
Bring to boil. Add salt to boiling water and let it boil for approximately 15-20 minutes.
Add salt and pepper.
Mash potatoes. Tip: Feel free to mash potatoes with an electric blender right in a pot as long as it is a non coated pot. Saves you time and extra dirty dishes.
Add milk and butter to your roughly mashed potatoes and keep blending until potatoes are smooth.
Perhaps a bit more salt and pepper to get it just right and ... Enjoy!
